Mountain View Corridor Utah County

Construction of the Mountain View Corridor (MVC) in Utah County has started on 2100 North from Redwood Road to S.R. 73. This segment of construction will extend the already open section of MVC (2100 North from Redwood Road to I-15). Construction plans include:

• Two lanes in each direction
• A six-foot sidewalk on the east side
• A 10-foot trail on the west side
• A pedestrian and bike trail underpass at Redwood Road and 2100 North
• New intersection connections at S.R. 73 and Mountain View Corridor (at Foothill Blvd) and at 2100 North and Redwood Road

School is out for the summer and we want to remind everybody to stay safe and out of construction zones. Please visit our safety rules and share them with your family.

Upcoming Construction Activities:

Redwood Road and 2100 North Intersection

Final paving on Redwood Road is complete. Crews will continue to work on raising sewer manhole collars the rest of the week. Drivers should expect intermittent lane restrictions on Redwood Road between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As soon as the week of Sept. 16, crews will return to place the final lane markings at the intersection including the new striping for bike lanes and bike boxes at the intersection.

Mountain View Corridor

Ongoing work on the mainline of the corridor includes pouring sidewalk, the shared used path, traffic signals, micro surfacing and striping.

The Mountain View Corridor remains an active construction zone and it is not open to the public traffic.

Redwood Road both directions

Sept. 5-9:

Crews are scheduled to place the final asphalt surface as early as  the evening of Thursday, Sept. 5. This work will occur between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Drivers should expect intermittent lane restrictions during these hours.

Eastbound & Westbound 2100 North

Drivers coming from westbound on 2100 North or going eastbound from 2100 North should expect delays up to 30 minutes during work hours while the milling and paving equipment is moving through these intersections. To avoid the delays, drivers can use Lehi Main Street or Pioneer Crossing as alternate routes.

Milling Operations at Redwood Road

September 3-4:

As soon as the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019 crews will begin grinding down the pavement surface at the intersection in preparation for final paving. Drivers should anticipate intermittent lane closures, northbound and southbound, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists should expect a rough ride and uneven lanes while driving across the milled surface. Please check back for updates on the upcoming paving operations.

Northbound 800 West

As soon as Friday, Aug. 30, 2019 crews will begin paving 800 West near the Pioneer Crossing intersection. The work will require the closure of the westbound lane of Pioneer Crossing to ensure the safety of the crew. This work will occur between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

We recognize it’s enticing to use the new roadway, but for your safety, please stay out of the work area. It is still an active construction site with crews operating large and heavy equipment that have several blind spots and the operator may not see you.

Construction activities are weather permitting and are subject to change.

Ongoing Construction Activities:

Eastbound & Westbound 2100 North

Drivers coming from westbound on 2100 North or going eastbound from 2100 North should expect delays up to 30 minutes during work hours while the milling and paving equipment is moving through these intersections. To avoid the delays, drivers can use Lehi Main Street or Pioneer Crossing as alternate routes.
